Real Independence of me #HappyIndependenceDayIndia

Flag of a real Independent world

I am more of a realist, humanist, and a believer in a borderless world that is full of love and compassion. I don’t prescribe much to nationalism which can border to fanaticism in some ways.

The above image is my imagination of a flag of a world that I just expressed.

The partition of India in 1947, has a very dark side. My family was one such family from hundreds of thousands who lost almost everything during that madness. Jobs, livelihoods, land, home, and some family members too. They became refugees in their own country.

I, as an individual, have thought deeply about it many times and for me the perspective of my imagined freedom resonates with a vision of global unity and compassion. For someone like me, true independence might mean:

Freedom of Thought: The ability to think critically and independently, free from dogma and prejudice.

Empathy and Compassion: Living in a world where empathy and understanding transcend borders, fostering a sense of global community.

Cultural Exchange: Embracing and celebrating diverse cultures, learning from each other, and building bridges rather than walls.

Human Rights: Ensuring that every individual, regardless of nationality, enjoys fundamental human rights and dignity.

Sustainable Living: Promoting a sustainable and equitable world where resources are shared and preserved for future generations.

Peaceful Coexistence: Advocating for peaceful resolutions to conflicts and a world where cooperation replaces competition.

My belief in a borderless world full of love and empathy is for me, a powerful vision for true independence. It’s about creating a society where everyone can thrive, free from the constraints of narrow nationalism and fanaticism.

What are your thoughts on it? What do you think is true independence for you?

Please leave your thoughts in a comment.

Thank You and I wish every Indian a very happy Independence Day.
